OpenWhat the Dream11 App is
Dream11 App is the brand used for a skill-based fantasy cricket platform where Indian users pick 11 real players from a real fixture, lock the team inside a 100-credit cap, and earn points based on the players’ actual match performance. Most Indian states treat skill-based fantasy sports as a game of skill, not gambling. The Dream11 App ecosystem covers fantasy cricket, fantasy football, fantasy kabaddi and fantasy basketball; the core user base plays cricket during the IPL season (March-May).
Skill-based fantasy cricket
The Dream11 App is a skill-based fantasy sports platform. Most Indian states treat it as a game of skill under Indian law, not gambling. Confirm your state rules in /en/dream11-app/legality/.
Build a Dream XI
Inside the Dream11 App you select 11 real players from both squads in a fixture, choose a captain (2× multiplier) and a vice-captain (1.5× multiplier), then enter contests and watch the score live as the match is played.
100-credit budget cap
Every Dream XI must fit inside a 100-credit cap. The platform assigns a credit cost to each player based on form, role and ownership; you balance your XI within the cap.
18+ and KYC required
The Dream11 App is restricted to adults aged 18 and over. KYC verification (PAN + bank account) is required before any withdrawal.
How to install Dream11 App on any device
Dream11 App is available on Android, iOS and the web (PWA). The platform is not listed on Google Play Store because of Google’s policy on fantasy sports apps that involve cash contests, so Android users download the official APK from the platform’s site. iOS users install via a profile from the official site. Web users add the Dream11 App as a PWA from the browser. Each install path is documented below.
Android install
Enable "Install from unknown sources" in your Android settings, then download the official Dream11 App APK from the platform’s verified domain. Verify the SHA-256 checksum before opening. Full walkthrough in /en/dream11-app/install/.
iOS install
Download the configuration profile from the platform’s official site, then open Settings → General → Profiles and trust the Dream11 App profile. The icon appears on your home screen.
Web install (PWA)
Open the platform’s site in Chrome, Safari or Firefox and tap "Add to Home Screen". The PWA delivers an app-like experience without a download.
Desktop install
Use the web PWA in any desktop browser. The desktop experience includes live scoring, contest lobby and wallet access.
Verifying the legitimate Dream11 App
Phishing APKs and fake domains are common in the fantasy sports space. Before you enter credentials or make a deposit, verify that the Dream11 App you are using is the legitimate one. Below are the four checks every user should run.
Check 1 — the official domain
Confirm the URL bar shows the platform’s official domain before entering credentials. The Dream11 App runs on its own domain — not a misspelled variation or a third-party hosting address.
Check 2 — the digital signature
The official Android APK is signed with a stable certificate. Compare the SHA-256 fingerprint of the APK you downloaded with the fingerprint published on the official site. A mismatch means the APK has been re-signed — a phishing pattern.
Check 3 — the KYC flow
The legitimate Dream11 App runs PAN + Aadhaar (or PAN + bank account) verification through a regulated KYC partner. It does not collect credentials inside chat apps or third-party websites.
Check 4 — the wallet flow
Deposits and withdrawals run through UPI rails with a verified merchant handle. The legitimate Dream11 App will not ask you to send money to a personal bank account or a third-party UPI ID.
Captain matrix and contest logic inside the Dream11 App
The Dream11 App awards points based on real match performance. Your captain’s score is multiplied by 2×; your vice-captain’s by 1.5×. The captain-matrix framework — ceiling, role stability, ownership %, venue fit — is the same decision framework that comes up in every contest log. Use it to pick the captain and vice-captain before the toss lock.
Captain 2×
The captain’s score is multiplied by 2× across the full final score (batting + bowling + fielding). The captain choice is the single biggest scoring decision in your Dream XI.
Vice-captain 1.5×
The vice-captain’s score is multiplied by 1.5×. The VC is the backup captain — a hedge when the captain choice has high variance.
Ownership % read
The Dream11 App shows ownership % inside the team preview. The captain differential lives in the 5-15% ownership band in mega contests.
Role balance rule
Your XI must fit the role balance rule (typically 1 wicket-keeper, 3-5 batsmen, 1-3 all-rounders, 3-5 bowlers). The platform will reject an XI that violates the rule.
