No. Once the match deadline passes (usually 5-10 minutes before first ball), your team is locked. You cannot substitute players or change captain/vice-captain.
What happens if a player I selected doesn't play?
If a player doesn't play after deadline, they score 0 points but remain in your team. This is why monitoring team news and final playing XI is critical.
How is the prize pool distributed in mega contests?
Prize distribution varies by contest. Typically top 1% wins 50-70% of pool, ranks 1-5% get significant prizes, ranks 5-15% get smaller prizes. Check "Winnings" tab before joining.
Is Dream11 legal in all Indian states?

0 runs = 0 points × 2 = 0 captain points. This happens even to star players. Minimize risk by captaining consistent performers.
Can I see what the top ranker's team was?
Yes. After contest closes, tap "My Contests" → Select contest → Tap "Rank 1" → View their team. Study their captain choice and differentials.
Do not-out batsmen get bonus points?
No. A batsman scoring 45 NOT OUT earns the same points as 45 OUT (both earn 45 + boundary bonuses + strike rate bonuses).
Do bowlers lose points for no-balls or wides?
Wides and no-balls count toward runs conceded, which affects economy rate. No separate penalty beyond economy penalties.
What if a player doesn't bat or bowl?
They earn 0 points from that category. Example: Lower-order batsman who doesn't bat scores 0 batting points but may earn fielding points.
Do rain-affected matches count?
Yes, if a result is declared. If match is abandoned with no result, all entries are refunded. If result declared (Duckworth-Lewis), points calculated normally.
Can I see scoring breakdown after the match?
Yes. Tap your contest → View team → Each player shows exact points breakdown (runs, boundaries, wickets, economy, etc.).
How do I contact Dream11 support?
